Backpacking Mt. San Jacinto Peak (18 miles round trip, 5000' elevation gain), July 16 and 17, 2005. On Saturday, we went up Deer Springs Trail to Little Round Valley Camp, where we spent the night. Then on Sunday we up to San Jacinto Peak. We returned via Wellmans and Strawberry Cienagas. Paticipants were Dave O'Connor, Henry and Kathy Pilcher, John Desbrow, my 13 year old daughter Nicole, and myself.
